Rapid7 and Tailwind Associates Announce Partnership to Deliver Broad-based Network Security Risk Assessment
Tailwind’s IT Services to Include Rapid7’s NeXpose to Provide Fast and Accurate Vulnerability Scanning and Superior Risk Management, Lowering Customers’ Costs for Securing Their Environment
BOSTON – April 10, 2007 – Rapid7, provider of the award-winning NeXpose enterprise vulnerability management solution, today announced a reseller agreement with Tailwind Associates, a leading provider of business intelligence and Web solutions and professional IT services.
Under this alliance, Tailwind Associates will include NeXpose's vulnerability assessment capabilities in both its product and services offerings, providing customers with efficient enterprise network scanning that ensures across-the-board security. Ensuing reductions in the costs of delivering these services translate to lower costs for customers, helping them maximize their investment in securing their environment.

Rapid7's consulting services team will assist as needed with conducting other types of assessments, such as wireless audits.

Rapid’s NeXpose enterprise vulnerability management solution scans Web server applications, databases, operating systems, and network devices to locate threats, assess their risk to the environment, devise a remediation plan and implement the ticketing process. NeXpose incorporates an expert system to build a knowledge base of facts on the environment that it is exploring and model potential targeted attacks to expose all existing threats. NeXpose provides reporting capabilities that ensure compliance with governmental regulations, corporate security configuration policies, and the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.
