BOSTON – September 18, 2007 – Rapid7, provider of the award-winning NeXpose enterprise vulnerability management solution, today announced that Perry Ellis International (NASDAQ: PERY) has selected NeXpose for optimizing vulnerability management and ensuring IT security complies with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulations.
A leading designer, distributor and licensor of high quality men's and women's apparel, Perry Ellis International chose NeXpose for its in-depth reporting on vulnerability scanning results, including a step-by-step remediation plan for the exposures it finds.
"To protect important corporate data and ensure regulatory compliance, it is critical we not only uncover all vulnerabilities that emerge in our networks and databases, but have a plan for resolving them before they can be exploited," states Prakash Bhavsar, MIS security administrator at Perry Ellis International's corporate office in Miami, Florida. "We have been impressed with NeXpose and its scanning results, as it provides greater detail on the vulnerabilities we find as well as how to fix them. Its reporting capabilities are superior."
Perry Ellis International purchased the NeXpose enterprise software license, which provides security scanning for unlimited IP addresses, enabling comprehensive coverage of the company's networks, databases and devices.
"We like to take a holistic approach instead of focusing on only limited sections of the network, which is why we insisted on purchasing the unlimited IP license,” states Ronen Lapidot, Perry Ellis International's VP of information technology.
