NeXpose Auto-Update
NeXpose provides transparent auto-update capabilities requiring no user intervention. Updating occurs on a scheduled basis, accessing the Rapid7 update servers for the latest updates. If NeXpose is installed on an internal network, a HTTP proxy can be used to gain external access.
Rapid7 provides frequent updates, generally issuing important new vulnerabilities within 18 hours providing near real-time automated alerting. During normal operation the NeXpose server connects to the Rapid7 database servers to retrieve new vulnerability definitions that have been published.
